Hi i’m Kate and I’m 39 years of age and I am (was) a web developer, blah blah blah. Boring elevator speech is in the bin. I have been self employed forever as I am pretty much un-employable. I like getting my own way far too often! My passion is helping others to get their businesses off the ground, and I used to do that by helping small business owners to create and run their own websites. In other words – not have to pay a lot of money to someone else to do it for them. Money is tight for any business start up and this is one place that I believe you can definitely save some pennies whilst still achieving amazing results.
Anyhow, I got poorly in 2013 when I was 7 months pregnant with my first child. I discovered I had a brain tumour, gave away all of my lovely clients to some other lovely web designers. It has taken quite a few years to get fully better and I now have two amazing children and a side order of Epilepsy. So between juggling all of this I decided to get my teeth back into work by jumping on an opportunity to own my own unit in Tattenhall. I recognised the need for flexible workspace in the outskirts of Chester and roped in some other superstars to help….
Poor Andy didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he moved back from America in June 2018 and asked for a desk at The Purple Office. Andy and his lovely family were the first people to show up – we hadn’t even put the toilet in then! So we decided we liked him and asked him to be our in-house designer and printer, tea-boy, cleaner, receptionist…………. You can take over here Andy;
Andy’s long-suffering wife and Marketing extrordinairre. Melissa assists and advises over all parts of the business and is a dab hand at social media marketing. After running her own businesses in America for 15 years in between bringing up 2 lovely children, Melissa has decided her hands aren’t full enough and she is now our go-to person for everything Marketing related. She is lovely so fills a massive whole in our customer services 🙂
The man behind the scenes. No one has ever actually seen him but we believe he exists somewhere. A bit like Santa Claus, but fairly tech savvy. He sends lots of emails but rarely picks put he phone. He would say hello, but he is far too busy and important.
Saving the best to last – our amazing Landlords. in 2020 Bolesworth Estate are planning to launch a project that will revolutionise rural enterprise and initiative. The Purple Office is just the start. Watch this space…..
